Ok, this one is for those of us with the new intel based macs or the power pc guys who have a webcam. iRecord is a freeware mac ap that requires only one click to start recording once
launched. Launch the program and hit the big red button: that’s it, literally.
iRecord is definately an easy way to shoot video, after clicking the red button it saves a .mov to your desktop. You can also take still shots but dragging the image from the iRecord window directly to your desktop.
Although the program is very easy to use, it lacks any preferences that can bet set (ie change movie format) and the files it saves are rather large and must be converted to another format if they are going to be shared over the web (I recommend use Quicktime Pro or Zamzar depending on your needs).
If you need a quick, lite weight recording program for you mac, but need to customize your video recording preferences than iRecord is the application for you.
